The school was established in 1953 in response to overcrowding at Bicton and Applecross Primaries and welcomed 198 students in its initial intake.

Close to double that number of students now stream through the doors each semester and after overwhelmingly positive feedback from a recent parent survey, the school board decided it was time to update its brand to match its current-day offering.

Deputy principal Asiri Perera said the school wanted a brand that displayed the modern face of Attadale Primary School while still paying homage to where it started.

“We build in our students strong foundations for life, which is our new slogan,” he said. “Attadale Primary is big enough to provide our students with a challenging, vibrant learning environment but small enough to know every face.
