THE Perth house where David and Catherine Birnie lived during their 1980s killing spree in suburban Perth is up for sale.
The Birnies raped five women and murdered four, with two of them killed at the property.
Number 3 Moorhouse Street in Willagee has been listed on realestate.com.au, with an asking price of ‘from $459,000’.
It was renovated to include three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The murders came to be known by the media as the Moorhouse murders – named after the street the Birnies were living on.
The house has an open plan kitchen and jarrah flooring throughout.
According to the listing, the house is “located in a leafy street so close to all amenities”.
“This darling house offers style as well as convenience,” according to the agent.
“Sitting on 432sqm and delectably presented, viewing will be a pleasure.”
Two victims – Susannah Candy and Noelene Patterson – were murdered by the Birnies in the home.
However, none of the victims were buried at the property.
David Birnie hanged himself in prison in 2005. Catherine Birnie is imprisoned at Bandyup Prison.
