A BOORAGOON florist has had a win at the Royal Show just months after being named WA’s Florist of the Year by Interflora.

Jenny Do’s flower shop is in Warwick and she will represent WA next year in Melbourne as part of the International Garden Show.

Her table arrangement at the Show won first place, and her silk bridal bouquet won second place, up against 45 entries in her first Royal Show competition.

“The structure for the table arrangement took me several days to build and used a spider web wire technique which is quite difficult and time-consuming,” she said.

“It also took three hours on the competition day just to arrange the flowers.

“Most competitors bring in their completed item, but due to the size and complexity this was not possible for mine.”

Ms Do also teaches flower arrangement classes as a volunteer for the Stirling Silver Program with her first workshop starting October 7 in Inglewood.
