PARENTS of students at Melville Senior High School and its feeder primary schools will be given valuable advice on how to protect their children from the risks posed by drug taking at a public forum being held at the school on Thursday.

The key speaker at the forum is recovered addict and drug campaigner Jade Lewis, who will be supported by an expert panel including a drug counsellor and local police.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Booragoon, the forum will be held at Melville Senior High School from 7pm on Thursday, September 8.

It is open to all parents, carers and sporting or youth groups.

Rotary Club president Matt Bruyninckx said the forum would equip parents to identify the warning signs, help their children without blame or recriminations and inform them about help services available in the community.
