Bull Creek tradie celebrates Lotto win with a sausage roll

A BULL CREEK tradie in his 30s has celebrated a $3 million Saturday Lotto win – with a sausage roll.

Still wearing his high-vis top and a hardhat, the man said he was on his morning tea break and still wanted to grab a sausage roll before heading back to site.

“I bet that’s a first – Lotto winner buys sausage roll,” he said.

“I haven’t caught a wink of sleep so I’ll probably add a coffee to the order too.”

The man said he would likely use the winnings to pay off his mortgage.

He also said his wife couldn’t believe his good fortune.

“No requests from her yet – she still won’t have it that we’ve won,” he said.

“We both went off to work this morning like nothing’s happened.”

The winning Superdraw ticket was sold at Leeming Lottery Centre & Newsagency and marks the State’s 54th division one win for the year.

Store owner Colin Doyle said it was the second  division one win his business had experienced in just over 12 months.

“Late last year we sold a Division 1 winning ticket worth almost half a million dollars,” Mr Doyle said.
