The event will include an 8km run and a 4km run or walk around the grounds of Murdoch University and was the brainchild of Sport and Recreation Centre manager Adrian Fisher and Veterinary Student Association president Dorian Lara.

‘Each year for the past three years we have held an annual campus fun run for staff and students,’ Adrian said.

‘But this year we decided to do something different by inviting the general community to join, as well as people’s pet pooches.

‘Dogs need exercise too and many people love to exercise with their dogs, so it is a great way to get fit and healthy together.’

If you don’t have a dog, don’t let that stop you; everyone is welcome.

Entry to the Dog ‘n’ Jog is a gold coin donation, with all money raised going to the Zero Animal Rescue Fund.

There will be prizes for first male and female runner, first junior male and female and first-placed dog.
