CITY of Melville Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) volunteers enjoyed their annual family get-together at Piney Lakes Reserve on Saturday.

Although it was celebrated as a brunch event for volunteers, all visitors to the venue were happily offered a barbecue burger and NHW information material.

NHW committee chairman Atul Garg said that team members were actively involved in the local community, encouraging effective community relations and promoting crime prevention initiatives through activities or projects, while working in the national, State and local government guidelines.

He said NHW volunteers contributed substantially towards the creation of welcoming, friendly, safe and secure communities in the City of Melville.

Neighbourhood Watch is a program to help neighbours watch out for neighbours. Getting involved is easy and information is available at www.nhw.wa.gov.au.
