Council spoiling best art in Perth

Janice TeoMelville Gazette

ON the corner of Stock Road and Canning Highway there is, in my opinion, the best artwork in Perth.

At night, the four colourful dancers are always a pleasure to see.

That is, until someone at Melville council plonks a sign right in front of them.

There is ample room on either side of the dancers, but council insists on placing the various signs of “deals” or upcoming events right in front.

I am the grumpy old man who rings and complains now and then, but to no avail.

Please don’t spoil the best night-time artwork you have.

Put your signs somewhere else.
