A ELDERLY man has reportedly been rescued from his home following a house fire in Palmyra today.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) spokeswoman said St John had been sent to the scene.
DFES issued a warning about the fire after 12pm.

READ NOWA triple-zero call was made to emergency services at 12.04pm after smoke was seen billowing from a property on the corner of Hope Road and Hammad Street.
The spokeswoman said there was considerable smoke coming from the roof but no visible flame.
Five appliances were sent out to deal with it and had the fire under control by 12.25pm.
Police had established road blocks around the property.
Fire crews were sent in with breathing apparatus to conduct a preliminary assessment after 1.30pm.
