Federal funding aims to improve dangerous local roads

The Black Spot Program targets dangerous sections of local roads with a history of road accidents.

Tangney MP Dennis Jensen said three projects in Melville would receive $290,000 to improve safety.

Funding for this year will go to improving safety on Farrington Road, from Logan Road to Casserley Drive, Leeming ($90,000); Gilbertson Road, from Williamson Road to Thomas Way, Kardinya ($70,000); and Riseley Street, at Willcock Street, Ardross ($130,000).
