THE first baby born this year at Fiona Stanley Hospital arrived at 1.02am by emergency caesarean following a day of labouring on New Years Eve.
Dad Christopillai Judy Quickson said despite coming 10 days ahead of his due date, the newborn was obviously keen to arrive in the New Year.
Mr Judy Quickson and wife Sherena, of Canning Vale, and will follow their Sri Lankan Tamil culture of using numerology to choose a name for their second son.
They will use the birth date and time and a horoscope to chose the first letter or sound of their son’s name.
