The murders came to be known by the media as the Moorhouse murders – named after the street the Birnies were living on.

The house has an open plan kitchen and gorgeous jarrah flooring throughout.

The second living area has French doors leading to an undercover patio.

The home has a “lovely, peaceful street appeal” according to the agent.

Two victims – Susannah Candy and Noelene Patterson were murdered by the Birnies in the home.

However, none of the victims were buried at the property.

David Birnie hanged himself in prison in 2005. Catherine Birnie is imprisoned at Bandyup Prison.
