Giant Chinese lanterns grace Garden City

GIANT Chinese lanterns have been installed at Garden City.

The 1.8 metre-wide lanterns are in place in the centre court, an area near Dome renamed “The Garden of Good Fortune”, as part of Chinese New Year celebrations.

A traditional lion dance took place at the centre on Saturday at 1.30pm.

With the Chinese zodiac moving in 12-year cycles, 2018 is Year of the Dog.

The lanterns will be in place until March 2.
