KIDS at the after-school program at Attadale Primary School have donated gifts to a good a cause.

Helping Hands Attadale attendees handed over presents to kids’ charity Save the Children Australia on December 11 as part of a Term 4 project.

Helping Hands Attadale coordinator Indra Hammerstein said the gifts came from teachers as well as family and friends of the kids.

“I thought it was a good idea to make the children aware of what Save the Children does and do something special before Christmas,” he said.

“We made posters during the term and sent letters to parents about the project.

“There are all sorts of different gifts from teddies to board games and clothing.

“We are grateful for everyone who donated and my assistant Leeta Ward did amazing work.”

Save the Children area manager Jacqueline Lude said the charity was thankful for the support of the community.

“The donations will help us put stock in our stores or to sell it on and raise money for our programs,” she said.

“It is great for the students to be aware of the work that we do.”
