Hungry kitten trapped in roof

Staff ReporterMelville Gazette

RSPCA Inspectors Amanda Swift and Nat Foster received the call regarding a small stray kitten stuck in a roof cavity for three days crying for help.

The occupants of the home tried without success to get the kitten out, but removed some plasterboard to at least locate and animal, which the inspectors could then free.

The female kitten, who has been named Scruffy, is about 4-5 weeks old and was checked by RSPCA vets before going into foster care. It is hoped a proper home and owners will be found for Scruffy.
