Melville Primary School, which was devastated by a deliberately-lit fire earlier this year, will receive $100,000 to refurbish classrooms and replace lost supplies and equipment.

A $110,000 commitment has been made to Bicton Primary School to build shade structures and resurface its basketball courts.

Palmyra Primary School will be given $100,000 to install solar panels to make it a carbon neutral school. The rest of the money will be used to upgrade its kitchen garden and provide more IT equipment.

Bicton Labor candidate Lisa O’Malley said the money had been pledged as part of a plan developed with local P&C committees.
