LEEMING resident Jing Quan Chong has returned from an international trip where he performed at an historic US venue, but he says his real enjoyment came from taking in the talent of his fellow artists.

The 10-year-old pianist was invited to play at New York’s Carnegie Hall as part of the 2018 Golden Key Music Festival in late April.

The festival is a major cultural event attracting young musicians from across the world.

The All Saints’ College Year 5 student said he enjoyed watching his fellow performers.

“One of the most enjoyable moments for me was listening to the other artists play at Carnegie Hall,” he said.

“There was a great variety of songs being performed and so much talent on the stage.”

His parents said the youngster’s performance had boosted his motivation to earn more opportunities here and overseas.
