THE annual Santa Paws event in Leeming will be held on Sunday, December 3.

The seventh pooch-fest will be held at Peter Ellis Reserve from 4pm to 6pm, with a gold coin donation scoring attendees a free sausage sizzle and drink, plus treats for their pets.

Co-organiser Bob Taddeo said all money raised would go Guide Dogs WA, with the event running at the start of Disability Awareness Week.

“It’s about the community and bringing people together,” he said.

“We’ve had people from all areas of Perth (in previous years) come down and celebrate with their dogs.”

About 80 dogs and 120 people are expected to make their way down to the popular park on the afternoon.

The event is supported by Neighbourhood Watch, the City of Melville and Matrix Realty Group.

Peter Ellis Park is at the south end of Findlay Road.
