THE gym at LeisureFit Booragoon will close for two weeks as it undergoes renovations from May 5 to 19.
Works have already begun in the studio area adjoining the main gym, where rubber flooring is being laid down for a new dedicated free weights area.
The renovations include updated flooring throughout, fresh paint and the installation of new equipment including for a specially designed athletic training zone.
To help compensate, the gym at LeisureFit Melville will open from 5.30am Monday to Friday during the upgrades.

However, once the upgrades are complete on May 19, LeisureFit Melville’s gym facilities will close permanently.
All other programs and services, including group fitness, wellness, sports and gymbakids, will continue to run at LeisureFit Melville.
