Little Shop of Horrors to return to All Saints College

CULT classic Little Shop of Horrors will return to All Saints College for three nights in June.

The College’s senior school cast will lead the show about a timid floral shop assistant who discovers a mysterious alien plant with a thirst for human blood and global domination.

Stephen Roberts, the College’s arts director, said the script included a fresh twist.

“We have made a feature of exposing what is usually hidden in theatre and made the invisible visible,” he said.

“Unlike previous performances… this year’s adaptation will provide a glimpse behind the curtain with the backstage crew, band, sound and lighting technicians forming part of the on-stage cast.”

Several students in a skeleton prop will bring the carnivorous plant, Audrey II, to life.

Little Shop of Horrors will play June 20 to June 22 at the College’s Centre for Performing Arts in Bull Creek.
