Man in critical condition after Melville motorcycle crash

A 27-year-old man is in a critical condition after his motorcycle struck a car in Melville last night.

About 6.30pm, the man was riding his motorbike east on Leach Highway.

The bike hit the rear right hand side of a car travelling in front of him, near Rome Road.

The rider was thrown from the motorcycle sustaining serious injuries.

He taken first to Fiona Stanley Hospital before being transferred to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition.

The car driver was unhurt.
