Melville: City to host meeting on effectiveness of Canning Bridge Activity Centre Plan

Amy McKieMelville Gazette

A COMMUNITY forum held on Monday will discuss and review the effectiveness of the Canning Bridge Activity Centre Plan.

Approved by City of Melville council in March last year, the plan resolved to undertake a 12 month progress review focusing on transitional “H4 areas” located around the edges of the precinct, H4 referring to residential areas where developments of up to four storeys can be approved.

Hosted by City of Melville, Mayor Russell Aubrey said the community forum would allow residents to learn more about the plans for the area and explain the current review process.

“I strongly encourage the community to come along and get involved in this exciting new development in the City,” Cr Aubrey said.
