A DUDLEY Park man (24) has been charged with multiple stealing, driving and drug offences after failing to stop for police in Melville yesterday.

It will be alleged police activated their lights and sirens in an attempt to stop a Toyota Camry near Marmion Road and Stock Road around 12pm.

The driver accelerated away from police and at the intersection of Stock Road and Leach Highway attempted to manoeuvre between two vehicles stopped at the traffic lights resulting in his vehicle becoming stuck.

The man is due to appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court today.

A 21-year-old Mandurah woman will also be summonsed to appear in court at a later date for stealing and burglary related offences.
