A GROUP of more than 20 health professionals from Fiona Stanley Hospital – dubbed the Stanley Trimmers – have put away their shavers for November and are growing moustaches to make a positive change to the face of men’s health.
As part of Movember, they are growing their moustaches as a visible reminder to the many staff, patients and visitors who visit FSH about the need to take action to improve men’s health.
Fiona Stanley Hospital allied health educator Khye Davey said Movember was creating invaluable opportunities to talk about men’s health.
“I think men need help to talk about and act on our health, especially mental health,” he said.
“Being part of Movember is a way for me to do something about this.
“When people see your mo, it puts a smile on their face and gets you having conversations you might not otherwise have. Plus, well, who doesn’t look better with a mo?”
