BICTON Men’s Shed and Bateman MLA Matt Taylor are teaming up to host a community forum featuring Minister for Mental Health Andrea Mitchell.
The forum is an opportunity to hear from and provide feedback to Ms Mitchell about the State Government’s mental health initiatives in a relaxed and informal setting.
Ms Mitchell will talk about the current state of mental health in WA and outline some of the Government’s programs in this area.
Time will be set aside for guests to ask questions of the Minister and to connect with other community members over morning tea.
Mr Taylor, whose father Trevor is vice-president of the Bicton’s Men Shed, said it was important to engage the community in conversations around mental health.
The forum is free, but for catering purposes anyone wishing to attend is asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org.
It will be held from 9am on Friday, August 5 at the Bicton’s Men Shed at 1 Carrington Street in Palmyra.
