Monster of a sale: 10,000 books up for grabs at long-running Pater Noster church event

Jaime ShurmerMelville Gazette

The sale has been a fundraiser for the Pater Noster Catholic Church parish for the past decade., fostering community spirit as people gather to purchase their own preloved print.

Boxes of books are literally piled to the ceiling of a store shed but the call is still out for more donated books, organiser Margaret Cabassi said.

Some of the book categories include biographies, photography, war/military, Mills and Boon, self help and children.

Books can be donated to the church on Fridays mornings, or parents of the associated school can deliver books to the school office.
