Mother and daughter ready to take on the world

Emma Clayton, Melville TimesMelville Gazette

Penny, who plays for Melville in the Women’s State Premier League, is an accomplished soccer player and a member of one of three Australian teams competing against others from all over the world.

Her team is in the 40-years-plus division and Penny says many of the players are mothers who bring their children along to experience first-hand the excitement of an international tournament.

Rose, who plays Rooball for Melville, is very excited about going away with her mum to watch the games and fit in some sightseeing.
