Murdoch Uni Mesh Awards nomination open for Year 10 and 11 students

HIGH school creatives can now enter a new media competition offered by Murdoch University.

The Mesh Awards is open to Year 10 and 11 students in the categories of screen production, photography, journalism, creative writing, games art, graphic design, sound production, theatre, drama, radio, public relations and web communication.

Entrants will be judged by academics within Murdoch’s School of Arts and each category winner becomes an automatic finalist for the Golden mesh Award, judged by a panel of leading industry experts.

All category finalists will be invited to the Murdoch Media Showcase on Thursday, December 8.

In addition, finalists will be invited to exhibit their work alongside Murdoch’s final year media projects at the special showcase event.

Category winner will get a $50 JG HiFi voucher and a certificate of excellence, while the Gold Mesh winner will be given a $500 Visa Gift Card and personalised trophy.

Entries close on Friday, September 23, 2016.
