Presented by the Perth Symphony Orchestra (PSO) and hosted by Murdoch University, this year’s event will showcase numbers from musical theatre, film classics and rock hits. Support acts include Murdoch University student Kathryn McCarthy and Australian Idol finalist Chris Murphy.

PSO executive director Bourby Webster said she was delighted to be returning to Murdoch University.

“While we can’t always perform for free, where we can we do to ensure there are no barriers to everyone experiencing the magic of the PSO in concert,” she said.

“The feedback we had from last year’s concert was fantastic but people wanted more.

“So we’ve worked miracles and thanks to the City of Melville and Murdoch University increasing their support, we are able to perform a full-length concert this year.”

More than 3000 free tickets to last year’s concert were snapped up shortly after becoming available.

Members of the public can now book up to four general admission tickets for the event at www.perthsymphony.com.

VIP tickets for $50 are also available, including dedicated toilets and premium seating and an invitation to a pre-event function at the Murdoch University tavern with drinks and canapes.
