The latest win occurred on Saturday, January 23 with a 10-member syndicate organised by Mr Martinovich sharing in just over $800,000 dollars.
“That particular syndicate has been playing the same numbers for 10 years now,” Mr Martinovich said.
“Five of the members have been in it from the start and the other five spots I just sell over the counter each week.”
It is the first time a syndicate from the Myaree newsagency has claimed a Division 1 win but the store has also sold six winning tickets to individuals, for a total of close to $8 million in prize money.
A Myaree man was the first to claim his syndicate share, saying that it was just the right amount.
“I’m not greedy and I’m happy with that prize,” he said. “It will help reduce our mortgage and make life a little more comfortable.
“I couldn’t believe it. I checked the ticket about six times before getting my wife to check. We were simply stunned.”
