PERTH firefighters have turned up the heat as part of a fundraiser for a good cause.

Palmyra’s Tim Kennelly and Mt Pleasant’s Josh Ashby are among a group featured in the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation’s 2018 fire fighters calendar.

Money raised will be donated to Princess Margaret Hospital’s (PMH) burn unit.

Mr Kennelly, or Mr September, said he was happy to pose for a photo if it helped better the lives of children in tough circumstances.

“It’s a fantastic cause and I’m really happy to see the brigade and many of my close mates giving their support for this very meaningful, fun fundraiser,” he said.

Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation chief executive Denys Pearce said sales of the annual calendar helped fund cutting-edge equipment and research.

“We have been overwhelmed by the WA community’s incredible support for the state’s fire fighters, raising more than one million dollars for PMH’s burns unit through the sale of the calendars over the years,” he said.

Calendars are available for $15 online at www.shop.pchf.org.au.
