PALMYRA company Gage Roads Brewing Company will supply beer and cider at Perth Stadium after holding off competition from the eastern states to secure a five year venue deal.

Managing director John Hoedemaker said his team was proud to be offered the chance to supply beverages at the 60,000-seat stadium.

“This contract presents a unique opportunity for Gage Roads to showcase to a wide audience the quality of our craft ales, lagers and ciders, all made here in Perth,” he said.

“Our appointment puts the fans first by recognising the growing demand among consumers for greater variety and quality products at entertainment venues.”

Premier Mark McGowan said the appointment by stadium operator VenuesLive followed a competitive tender process.

“Gage Roads supports WA farmers, manufacturers, the hospitality industry and a range of other sectors meaning this contract win will create jobs throughout the economy,” he said.

The $1.46 billion Perth Stadium will open in 2018, with events including an AFLW match featuring the Fremantle Dockers, two Ed Sheeran concerts, an NRL double header and a match between English Premier League giants Chelsea and A-League club Perth Glory already booked.

The stadium will officially open with a free community day on January 21.
