The incident happened about 9am on Friday morning near Winthrop Drive, when a driver of a blue Holden Cruze flipped the car on its roof.
Within minutes, drivers faced delays westbound with police reporting traffic chaos in the area tailing back to the freeway entry.
Police attended the scene along with fire and emergency services. Only minor injuries were reported.
