Police charge man after seizing child-like sex doll

POLICE have charged a Leeming man who allegedly attempted to import a sex doll resembling a child last month.

Border force officers intercepted the child-like sex doll at a Perth freight depot on May 16.

The doll was subsequently seized and officers from the police and border security executed a warrant at a Leeming home the following morning.

A 62-year-old man has been charged with four counts of possessing of child exploitation material and single counts of possessing drug paraphernalia, possessing a prohibited drug and possessing a prohibited plant.

Commonwealth charges for the importation of the child-like sex doll are likely to follow.

The accused will appear at Perth Magistrates Court today.
