Police hunt two men over violent home burglary

POLICE have released CCTV footage of an attack by two men during a violent home burglary in Winthrop on Monday morning.

Around 4.50am, two men forced entry into a Freedman Way home, before stealing car keys and a wallet.

The victim, a man in his 50s, went outside to find two men inside his grey 2011 Lexus IS250 sedan in the driveway.

The victim tried to open the driver’s door but the man who was sitting in the driver’s seat punched the victim to the face, causing him to fall to the ground.

The man got out of the vehicle and kicked the victim while he was on the ground and the second man joined in and also kicked the victim.

Both men got back into the victim’s vehicle and drove off towards Leach Highway.

Police found the stolen vehicle in Yangebup early Tuesday morning.

The victim received cuts and bruising to his face and grazes to his arm.

The first man is described as being dark skinned, about 170cm tall with a thin build.

He was wearing a black beanie and dark clothing.

The second male is described as dark skinned, about 165cm tall with a thin build.
