LOCAL police are investigating after about $200 was stolen from a pharmacy in Bicton on Sunday afternoon.

A male and female entered Gerald Burns Pharmacy – located at Hawaiian’s Melville (formerly Melville Plaza) – just before 1.30pm, took the cash from the register and fled.

A Palmyra Police spokeswoman confirmed the incident. She said an investigation was ongoing.

Bicton MLA Lisa O’Malley encouraged local residents to bring their community safety concerns to her attention, as many had done already.

She said she was planning to hold a community safety forum in the first half of 2018, offering the community and state and local agencies a chance to work together to improve safety in the electorate.”
