Police seeking witnesses to Myaree altercation

Palmyra police have arrested and charged a 22-year-old Willetton man over the incident, which occurred on Friday, October 16 last year.

It is alleged that around 4.50pm the man drove a silver Holden Astra sedan to the Leach Highway store where he became involved in a row with a male staff member.

During the altercation, the man allegedly pulled a machete from his car, holding it in a threatening manner.

He drove away a short time later.

He has been charged with stealing, being armed to cause fear and possessing an article with intent to injure.

He is due to appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court on Monday, May 16.

During the incident, three men stopped and watched the altercation between the men. Police would like to speak with the witnesses as they may be able to help with inquiries.
