Councillor Nicholas Pazolli put forth a motion to defer a decision on the item to this week’s council meeting so that further legal advice and valuation could be obtained but it was defeated 8-4.

The details of the item remain confidential at this stage but Mayor Russell Aubrey said council had resolved for chief executive Shayne Silcox to proceed with negotiations.
