Singers share messages of hope

Leader Christine Browne said people could expect an afternoon of songs from different eras.

“Singing is for everyone, it’s not exclusive for only people with great voices,” she said.

“We bring people together for singing, networking and friendship, we’ve got an open door.

“We hope people that come along on the day and then are encouraged to join our group.”

The club has about 120 members and meets at the Anglican Church of the Holy Cross in Melville to sing.

Sing Australia is a national network of singing groups, who promote singing as an inclusive, everyday act available to everyone.

Members from fellow Sing Australia clubs Sorrento-Duncraig, Swan Valley and Rockingham will join in the fun on the day.

The cost of the event is $10, which includes afternoon tea and people are encouraged to register from 12.30pm.
