SLIM Jim and the Phatts will headline the City of Melville’s 23rd Point Walter Concert on March 4.

The local seven-piece are known for their work performing classic party hits from decades past through to current top-40 tracks.

Also featuring on the night will be the Wadumbah Dance Group, X Factor finalist Big T and Cold Chisel tribute band Rising Sun.

Held annually, the free concert has become a Labour Day long weekend tradition.

Visitors set up on the grass banks for an evening of family entertainment and fireworks.

With the City celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018, Melville Mayor Russell Aubrey said this year’s event would be the biggest yet.

“It is always a wonderful sight to see people from all walks of life travel far and wide to enjoy our pinnacle summer event,” he said.

There will be face painting, a bouncy castle, pop up food trucks, live music and a fireworks finale.

Nova 937 announcer Ross Wallman will host the evening.
