THE relationship between South Metropolitan TAFE (SM TAFE) and disability employment service Bizlink has achieved an important milestone.

Bizlink clients Jarrad Goddard and Matthew Smith have been employed by SM TAFE since August 2017 as casual administration officers but on June 28 the duo were made permanent.

The pair have gone from strength to strength at SM TAFE, which has employed seven clients from the service since they first partnered in 2017.

Bizlink acknowledged the work SM TAFE does in championing diversity and inclusion by awarding it the 2017 employer of the year award.
In a statement, Bizlink indicated it looked forward to continuing the partnership and driving diversity and inclusion within the public sector.

SM TAFE managing director Terry Durant said the duo were an invaluable part and the organisation’s Inclusive Employment Strategy was something they were looking to expand.
