The students spoke to the Governor about his role, the Queen’s visit in 2011 and asked him a range of questions, ranging from ‘How did you become governor?’ to ‘How much do you get paid?’

‘Over the past six months it has been a privilege to speak to more than 10,000 students across Western Australia on the importance of ‘giving back’ to those in need,’ Mrs McCusker said.

‘My husband and I have been truly inspired by the innovative ideas that have been generated by the children as part of the Kids Who Give WA program.

‘Some giving projects have involved single students, whilst others have involved the entire school; some schools are new to the giving process, whilst others have been involved in community projects for many years.’
