ECONOMY

Should the Perth Freight Link project be completed?

I strongly support Roe 8 and the tunnel connection through to Fremantle. This project will take trucks and cars off our local roads making our community safer while also reducing traffic congestion. I will be a champion of this project.

Does the current negative gearing system need to be changed?

Reducing investment in property will lead to lower property prices and higher prices for people who currently rent. There are some very good options to help first homebuyers in WA, like the first homebuyers grant and Keystart loans, as well as the WA Shared Ownership Scheme.

Do you believe in trickle-down economics?

I support more jobs and a growing economy. Jobs are best created by businesses employing people rather than the government. With a stronger economy and with more spending and demand, more jobs will be created. I welcome the Liberal Government’s proposed tax cuts to small business as a way of supporting economic growth and creating jobs.
