Three charged after camping and fishing store break-ins

POLICE have charged three people after an investigation into burglaries at camping and fishing stores in Jandakot, Myaree and Nedlands that occurred between October 31 and November 16.

During the burglaries high-end fishing reels valued at over $50,000 were stolen.

As part of the investigation, Fremantle Detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Strode Avenue in Hamilton Hill where it is alleged they found fishing reels, about two grams of cannabis, more than $6000 cash, three cannabis plants, 200 cannabis seeds and drug paraphernalia.

A 42-year-old man from Southern River will appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on December 17, charged with three counts of burglary and commit, four counts of stealing, criminal damage or destruction of property, gaining benefit by fraud and possession of methamphetamine.

A 33-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, both of Hamilton Hill are due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on December 10.

Both have been charged with possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property and various drug charges.
