A MAN and a teenager will face court today after Fremantle Detectives charged them with burglary, robbery and stealing offences.
A 17-year-old from Hamilton Hill and a 19-year-old Ballajura man were arrested last night in Hamilton Hill after a string of incidents, starting with the alleged theft of a BMW from Winthrop.
Police will allege the pair used the vehicle in a fuel drive off in South Lake, then drove to Cloverdale where they assaulted a 73-year-old woman pushing her grandchildren in a pram, stealing her purse.
The vehicle was seen by police in Murdoch and the occupants apprehended later Hamilton Hill.
A home in Bourbon Street, Hamilton Hill was also searched.
The boy was charged with three counts of stealing; two counts each of stealing a motor vehicle and no authority to drive; one count each of burglary, stealing a motor vehicle and driving recklessly, reckless driving in circumstances of aggravation, failing to stop, attempted aggravated burglary, attempted aggravated robbery and aggravated robbery.
He will appear in Perth Children�s Court today.
The man was charged with three counts of stealing a motor vehicle; two counts of no authority to drive and one count each of attempted aggravated burglary, stealing, attempted aggravated robbery and aggravated robbery and will appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
