A CAR burst into flames after a hit-and-run crash in Bateman last night.

Fire crews were called to the crash with another car at the corner of Murdoch Drive and Hawke Pass about 7pm.

It is believed the female driver who ran into the white hatchback fled the scene after having a panic attack.
