Young chefs join Jamie

With rolling pins at the ready, Leeming students followed Jamie's demonstration, via video link, to create the delicious Squash It Sandwich. Filled with lots of crunchy ingredients, the squash it sandwiches proved a hit.

Teacher Anthea Uden said Food Revolution Day was a great way to promote healthy eating.

"Not only did the children have fun, it was a really good collaborative activity that highlighted the importance of making healthy choices in relation to food and nutrition," she said.

Oliver started the Food Revolution with the aim of educating children about food and its effects on their bodies. As part of the day, children across the world joined Jamie in making the sandwich.
