LEEMING resident Gracie Drennan’s creations will once again be among those represented at a fashion show for up-and-coming designers.

The South Metro TAFE student (20) will have a dress in the Perth Fashion Festival’s Future Runway show on September 14 at Yagan Square.

After exhibiting her designs in the Wearable Technology Category in 2018, she will have her dress showcased in the Women’s Ready To Wear section this year.

Miss Drennan said she was inspired by flamingos for her dress, which formed part of her label Blank.

“I love the colour pink because it has so many shades and I love flamingos because of their texture and their different colours too, plus their structure is amazing,” she said.

“This year I’ve been working on an eight-look collection and I thought I’d enter one of my dresses.

“With the dress, I tried to create something quite trendy.”

Miss Drennan said she was excited for this year’s show after having a positive experience in 2018.

“It was a great experience to see other people’s designs and go through the process of fitting the models,” she said.

“I’m feeling more comfortable this year and I’m excited to see what other designers are doing.”

Tickets are available online.
