Lack of Transparency, Areas of Concern: Melville

Janice TeoMelville Gazette

THE inaugural meeting to reform the “Melville Ratepayers Association” was held on March 1.

There were many unhappy ratepayers voicing their dissatisfaction with the City council.

Areas of concern were the lack of transparency and consultation when forming policies and making decisions

Perhaps the most important function of this group should be to remind the mayor and councillors that they are elected to serve the ratepayers and that they can be voted out of office.
