Dogs leaving ‘land mines’

Staff ReporterMelville Gazette

I’M writing to have a crack at some of those inconsiderate people who walk their dogs in Dudley Hartee Park (neighbouring West Leeming Primary School) and don’t pick up the mess after their dogs.

I walk my children to school there most mornings and have noticed the increasing number of ‘land mines’ we have to avoid to get to school and back again.

It is particularly infuriating when all the bins around the park have poop bags attached.

Come on people: children use that park for activities at school. How would you like it if they trod on one of these ‘land mines’ and walked it through your house?

Maybe the council needs to enforce dogs being on leashes there.
